Domains

A temporary subdomain is defined for every website in the system when it's created. At any point in time, you can purchase a custom domain or point an existing domain to your site.

In the attached video, we will discuss domain management tools.

Domain
Every website opened in the system has a free subdomain that allows the website owner to display the site online. In this article, we will discuss domain management tools, purchasing a new domain and pointing an existing one, and their settings on the website.

Entering the domain management system
In order to add, change, or manage a domain, you must enter the domain management system. To do so, follow these instructions:

1. The Domain button is at the top right of the management system. Clicking it will display the domain defined to the website and a link to the domain management tools.

2. Click All the domains in this account to go to the domain management tool.

3. In the window that opens, you can:

  • Purchase a new domain: when clicking this link, the system will allow you to search for an available domain and will guide you through the entire purchasing process.
  • Define a new domain: in the event that the domain points to the system, continue with the following instructions.

4. If there is an existing domain that points to the company's servers, click Add new domain.

5. In the window that opens:

  • Write the name of the domain without its extension
  • Choose an extension from the drop down menu
  • Choose the website number you'd like the domain to point to from the drop down menu
  • In the event that the domain does not point to the website but to a specific page, please state so in the field URL to direct visitors.

*You must choose one of the fields website number or URL to direct visitors and not both of them.

6. After entering the domain name, choose what language you'd like to link to the domain. In addition, in the event that the domain is for mobile use only, check this option.

7. When finished, click Apply.

Managing an existing domain

After adding a domain, the domain management interface will look like this:

You can, at any point, go back to manage the settings by clicking Edit.

Additional options:

  • Mailbox - mailbox management under your domain.
  • DNS - managing the domain listing.
  • Adding a subdomain - creating and redirecting to a subdomain.
*These are relevant only if the domain's DNS points to the company's servers, as explained in the link in appendix 3.
