Page Management

Before you is a tutorial video about the page manager system. Underneath you can find textual explanations about the different topics discussed in the video.

Page Manager

Page management is done via the four icons at the top left of the management interface:

1. Save

2. Settings

3. Pages

4. Add

In this article, we will discuss the different management options of the page management tool.

"Pages" Button

Clicking the Pages icon will open a sidebar at the left site of the site with the page menu. The page menu will open with the default Top Menu. Clicking the icon again will hide the page menu sidebar.

In order to move to a different page menu, click the drop down menu Top Menu and choose one of the relevant options in the list.

In the event that there are no pages in one of the menus, it will not be displayed in the drop down menu.

The Toolbar in the Pages Menu

  • Top Menu - The default when opening the pages menu . The name of the menu we are managing will appear here.
  • Find a Page - Allows you to conduct a search for a page name by typing the name in the field and clicking the magnifying glass icon. The search field is very helpful when there are dozens of categories and sub-categories managed in the menu.
  • Refresh - Click the refresh icon, the icon with the blue arrows on the right of the magnifying glass, to refresh the page display. This can be relevant if you want to view any changes made to the menu.

"Add" Icon

Click "Add" in the top toolbar to open a window that will allow you to add a page. The options available in this window are as follows:

  • Enter page name - under Enter page name type in the name of the page you are adding.
*Clicking the icon of two pages on the right of the name field will allow you to add a number of pages at once with the same settings.
  • Set as category? - Check this box in the event that you'd like the page to be a category.
  • Top Menu/Side Menu/Not in Menu - in this box you choose which menu the page will be in. The default will be the menu you were in when you clicked Add.
  • Choose Template - In the event that you've created a template, you can choose it in this box. If a template has not been chosen, the page will open in the default design.
  • Add Link - Adding an external link allows you to link the page to a variety of functions in the system such as albums, forms, external links, etc.
  • Add page - Clicking Add new page will carry out the action defined in the window that opens.

"Settings" Icon

Clicking the Settings icon will allow you to manage the page's settings. These are part of the basic page settings available to you:

  • Change location to... - This option allows you to move the page to a different menu on the website.
  • Rename - Change the name of the page.
  • Edit Settings - Access to the page settings.
  • Set as Homepage - Set the page as the homepage, replacing the current homepage.
  • Turn the page into a category - Clicking this option turns the page into a category (and vice versa).
  • Save content as template - You can save the page structure as a template which you can use whenever you create a new page.
  • Hide - This option will hide the page so that the visitor and the search engine can't see it. This page will be presented only in the management interface.
  • Delete - Erases the page from the website. The page goes to the recycle bin for 30 days.

You can reach the page settings by right clicking the pages in the page menu.

Changing the page order in the website

In the event that you'd like to change the order in which your pages are presented in the menu, you can enter the page's menu and change the order by dragging them to the desired order.

Drag the page until a green dotted line appears before releasing the mouse button. You can drag a page into a category. For example, if you drag About Us and hover over New Category, the page will go into a new category.
